TAFE SA Marketing Degree Provides Pathways to Jobs

A degree course offered by TAFE SA is providing aspiring marketers with a fast track to great jobs.

The Bachelor of Business (Marketing and International Business) available at TAFE SA Adelaide City Campus through a partnership with Edith Cowan University, incorporates the flexibility of a Certificate, Diploma and Advanced Diploma of Business (Marketing) and can be completed in only two and a half years as opposed to the usual three year period.

Principal Lecturer Michael Ewer says the degree course combines the practicality of TAFE with the academic side of the degree.

'The course has continually delivered successful employment outcomes with the majority of students securing marketing positions only weeks after completing their studies,' Michael said.

Current degree student Jess Lane has already landed her dream job as a Marketing Assistant with Harvey Norman.

'The smaller class sizes, the support and guidance from teaching staff and hands-on experience during the course have facilitated my learning,' Jess said.

Jess won the 2007 Harvey Norman AMI Young Marketer of the Year award while studying the Advanced Diploma in Business (Marketing).
